School holiday fun – spooky walk in the forest

Go exploring among ghosts and bats in the garden's small coniferous forest. Suitable for ages 6 to 15.

Visit the Tropical Greenhouse, this week open Monday 11:00–16:00, Tuesday–Friday 9:00–16:00 and Saturday–Sunday 12:00–15:00.

The small forest (the Pinetum) is situated just inside the brick wall along Thunbergsvägen, near The Orangery. Find the Tropical Greenhouse via garden entrances on Norbyvägen and Plantskolegränd.

Entrance fee to the Tropical Greenhouse: adults 50 SKr, children under 18s free. Employees and students at Uppsala University free (please show campus card or student card).

Exercise – recreation – culture

Ride your bike to Linnaeus' Hammarby or wander in the cultural reserve there.Give Qi Gong, Yoga, Taiji or boules a try in the Botanical Garden.

Buy tickets for a theatre performance or concert. Enjoy art works, beautiful flower beds and silence. Study, read a book or enjoy a tea or coffee break. In our gardens there is room for both rest and exercise!

Boules greens in the baroque garden: Singelklubben and Upsala Pétanque Club practice boule in the Botanical Garden Sundays May–September, and Mondays and Thursdays May–August, respectively. Contact them if you want to try your hand at pétanque.
