Magnus Uggla, Miss Li and Petter in the Baroque Garden
In the autumn of 2019, Swedish TV program "Så mycket bättre" (so much better) celebrated ten years by inviting well known artists from previous years, alongside Petter, Miss Li and Magnus Uggla. In the summer of 2020 the trio was scheduled to join up again – now we get to listen to them in 2022 instead!
Songs in the Greenhouse
Local troubadour KnivstaSune sings and plays songs deeply rooted in the Swedish musical and poetic tradition – from the 18th century with troubadour and composer Carl Michael Bellman and the 20th century with poet Karin Boye and troubadour and composer Evert Taube
Garden and food fair with trade stands, experts, vegetable shows and a multitude of Geraniums on display.
The Culture Night in The Botanical Garden 2022
The Botanical Garden provides an ambient setting for moving meditation, Japanese culture and martial arts, classical music, and a traditional fire show. Explore the Tropical Greenhouse and hear the frogs sing. If you are lucky, the giant water lily will show you its flower.
School holiday fun - plant a Christmas bulb
Start a bulb and make it blossom at Christmas. Plant it in a pot, create and decorate a cone which will provide darkness that will encourage the bulb to blossom. Suitable for ages 6 to 15, the Tropical Greenhouse.
Museum Day in the Rainforest and the Orangery
Uppsala Museums celebrate the museum day with free admission. Extended opening hours in the Tropical Greenhouse until 16 o'clock. Last day for the exhibition 'Her Story – The Exhibition' in the Orangery. At 12:30-12:45 see 'In the motion caught' – choreographers Anaï Ljungberg and Helena Kindhult interpret the contents of the exhibition, in the Linnaeus Room.
