This summer we welcome the American rock artist John Fogerty and his impressive musical treasure to one of the most beautiful concert venues in Sweden. This will be the first stop of two on his tour in Sweden!

The Canorus choir holds a walking concert together with guide Marie Almquist. Canorus is a mixed choir with a wide repertoire. Follow along and enjoy the voices, even if you perhaps don't understand the language they sing in!

Watch and cheer as teams from Uppsala Pétanque Club compete for the Botan Cup in the Baroque Garden.

Haymaking at Hammarby
During Linnaeus' time the meadows were harvested to provide winter feed to the farm's animals. Join us in the Cultural Reserve - learn how to use scythe and rake and how to dry hay on a hayrack. Buy old varieties of vegetables from the kitchen garden. Go on a guided tour in the Reserve together with the peasants or the agricultural historians.

Country fair at Hammarby
Buy locally produced artisan crafts and freshly harvested vegetables at the cozy country fair, organised by Hammarby's friend association. Come along on walks with the farmers and the agricultural historians. Let the children go on a pony ride or try on 18th century clothing. Watch when we dye yarn and spin wool.

Tropical evening
Extended opening hours in the Tropical Greenhouse. Enjoy the summer evening, the flowers and the song of the dart frogs. If you are lucky, you will see the open flowers of the Santa Cruz water lily.

It is harvest time at Carl Linnaeus' country estate! We harvest hops, oats and barley in the restored farmland surrounding Linnaeus' country house. Learn about old varieties of hops.

The Culture Night in The Botanical Garden 2023
The Botanical Garden provides an ambient setting for moving meditation, Japanese culture and martial arts, classical music, and a traditional fire show. Explore the Tropical Greenhouse and hear the frogs sing. If you are lucky, the giant water lily will show you its flower.

Listen to music or enjoy dans shows. Visit Carl Linnaeus' home and our new museum shop. As darkness falls, the garden will be illuminated by candles. Enjoy a magical stroll among the flowers of autumn.

Meadow raking in the cultural reserve
Come and volunteer at Linnaeus' Hammarby! It is time to harvest the last vegetables and to prepare the forest meadows for winter by raking them and collecting and burning branches. Work side by side with experts on agrarian history and learn about 18th century farming. All helpers will be rewarded with hot dogs and soft drinks.
