Bulbi Rudbeckii
Illustrations of bulbous plants from Olof Rudbeck the Elder’s magnificent Book of Flowers. All plants selected were cultivated in the Linnaeus Garden by Rudbeck in the 17th century.

Victoria in blossom
An opportunity to see the flower of the giant water lily, Victoria amazonica, and the pithaya in blossom. They open out at dusk, but not every night. Updates (in Swedish) on Facebook.

Country Fair at Hammarby
Family day at Linnaeus' Hammarby. You can buy sheepskins, cheese, bread, vegetables and honey at the small and genuine fair, where there will also be craft stands and second hand sellers. The children can try on 18th century clothes.

The Botanical Garden Fair
Meet gardeners and botanists among kitchen plants and bulbs. Buy new plants for your garden. Get advice on gardening. Compete in the garden society show with your finest produce. Sample sweet Geraniums or buy cheese and vegetables from the farmers' market.

The Culture Night in the Botanical Garden
The Botanical Garden provides an ambient setting for moving meditation, Japanese martial arts, classical music, and a traditional fire show. Watch ceremonial archery. Try your hand at origami, learn about kimonos and witness a Japanese tea ceremony in the orangery. Explore the Tropical Greenhouse and hear the frogs sing. If you are lucky, the giant water lily will show you its flower.

A cultural cavalcade in the Linnaeus Garden
Listen to folk music and singer-songwriters or enjoy dans shows. Visit Carl Linnaeus' home and met one of his impersonators in a historic play. As darkness falls, the garden will be Illuminated by candles. Enjoy a magical stroll among the flowers of autumn.

Did you know that over 200 varieties of apples are grown in Sweden? Get to know a good quarter of them at the apple exhibition att Linnaeus' Hammarby. Find out which apples you have in your garden. Buy an apple tree cultivated from national clone archive trees.

Meadow raking in the cultural reserve
Come and volunteer at Linnaeus' Hammarby! It is time to harvest the last vegetables and to prepare the forest meadows for winter by raking them and collecting and burning branches. Work side by side with experts on agrarian history and learn about 18th century farming. All helpers will be rewarded with hot dogs and soft drinks.

Springtime in the Orangery
Infuse your soul with flowers among blossoming apricots, citruses and other Southern plants in the Linneanum orangery. See highlights from our collection of Mediterranean orchids. Two Saturdays and Sundays in March the orangery is open 12-15. Those days the friends of the gardens, Linnés Vänner, will be your hosts and there will be a temporary museum shop.
