Three gardens
The Linnaeus Garden lies in central Uppsala, just north of Svartbäcksgatan. The Botanical Garden is directly west of Uppsala Castle. Linnaeus' Hammarby is in the parish of Danmark, about 15 km south-east of Uppsala.
The Linnaean Gardens of Uppsala: opening times
The Botanical Garden with the Tropical Glasshouse and Linneanum Orangery are open throughout the year.
The Linnaeus Garden and Linnaeus Museum are open from May until the end of September; the Museum can also be visited by pre-booked groups during the winter months.
At Linnaeus’ Hammarby the Cultural Heritage Reserve is open throughout the year, while the park, buildings, café and shop are open May – September.
Free entry for employees and students of Uppsala University
The Botanical Garden has free entry to the outdoor areas. There is an entry fee to Linnaeus’ Hammarby, the Linnaeus Garden with Linnaeus Museum, and to the Tropical Greenhouse. Children under 18 years and employees and students of Uppsala University have free entry.
Different admission prices can be charged for special exhibitions and events.
