Learn how to use a scythe and a rake. Listen to music and stories as you work. Buy old varieties of vegetables from the garden.

Victoria in blossom
An opportunity to see the flower of the giant water lily, Victoria amazonica, and the pithaya in blossom. They open out at dusk, but not every night. Updates (in Swedish) on Facebook.

Harvest Fair at Hammarby
Harvest and fair at Carl Linnaeus' country estate. Trade stands with skins, craft, cheese, bread and vegetables from local producers. Try your hand at rye harvesting. The children can try on 18th century clothes and play old fashioned games.

The Culture Night in the Linnaeus Garden
Try your hand at origami, learn about kimonos and witness a Japanese tea ceremony in Linnaeus' orangery. Listen to classical music and enjoy a choir singing. Visit Carl Linnaeus' home. As darkness falls, the garden will be Illuminated by candles. Enjoy a magical stroll among the flowers of autumn.

The Culture Night in The Botanical Garden
The Botanical Garden provides an ambient setting for moving meditation, Japanese martial arts, classical music, and a traditional fire show. Watch ceremonial archery on the lawn of the Baroque Garden. Explore the Tropical Greenhouse and hear the frogs sing. If you are lucky, the giant water lily will show you its flower.

Did you know that over 200 varieties of apples are grown in Sweden? Get to know a good quarter of them at the apple exhibition att Linnaeus' Hammarby. Find out which apples you have in your garden. There will be a professional juicer if you want to bring your own apples and make "äppelmust" (not to be confused with "julmust").

Harvest at Linnaeus' Hammarby
Come and volunteer att Linnaeus' Hammarby! It is time to harvest the last vegetables and to prepare the forest meadows for winter by raking them and collecting and burning branches. Work side by side with experts on agrarian history and learn about 18th century farming. All helpers will be rewarded with hot dogs and soft drinks.

Swedes survive winter by snuggling up somewhere warm for a "fika". We set up a temporary café in the Tropical Greenhouse on the first Sunday of Advent so you can combine "fika" with a healthy dose of chlorophyll.

A Linnaean Garden Party
Time travel to the 18th century, hear the rustle of silk skirts, see silver shoe buckles glisten, and sample artisan foods. Find rare plants and seeds for your garden and pick up advice on how to grow them. Meet scientists, experiment, and learn more about Linnaean science. Guided tour in English at 11.30 and 14.30.
